CoSIDA Academic All-District Teams

GOLDEN, Colo. - For the second straight season, Colorado School of Mines offensive lineman Colin Peter has been named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District team.

A redshirt senior and team captain, Peter earns the honor for the second consecutive year; he went on to be named a Second-Team Academic All-American in 2016. Peter was named to the All-RMAC Honorable Mention list earlier this week. 

Starting at guard, Peter helped produced D-II's #10-ranked rushing offense (245.6 yards per game) this past season. The Orediggers ran for 300 or more yards four times, including 462 against New Mexico Highlands and 498 against Adams State; Mines also was sack-free in four games, and allowed only one sack in their final three games of the season.

Academically, Peter majors in mechanical engineering and holds a 3.92 GPA. He was named to the RMAC All-Academic First Team earlier in November.
