Orediggers Rout Adams State 8-0 In RMAC Opener

GOLDEN, Colo. - An avalanche of goals helped Colorado School of Mines start RMAC play off with a win as they routed Adams State 8-0 at Stermole Stadium.

The Orediggers (4-3-2, 1-0-0 RMAC) had seven different goalscorers as they dominated the proceedings, with Marc Levin scoring twice and Gabriel Rodriguez providing a goal and an assist.

Mines outshot ASU 26-3 as they got off to a running start and never relented. Chris Seery tallied just 2:49 into the game off Joshua Kiyaga's pass, and Tristan Semelsberger's free kick in the 10th minute made it 2-0. Gabriel Rodriguez scored off Grant Bell's touch in the 29th minute, and then assisted John Burnett's goal just over a minute later to make it 4-0 at the half.

Mines enjoyed more of the same in the second half as Eric Boone tallied his first of the season on a headed finish of Azad Iliozer's cross, and Levin hit for the first of his career from Rodriguez at 61:25. Lucas King's free kick carom off the wall made it 7-0 at 64:29, and Levin headed home his second with 15 seconds remaining off a terrific Iliozer cross.
