THE WEEKEND
Mines (15-17, 7-9 RMAC) returns home to host Adams State (11-19, 8-8 RMAC) in an Easter weekend Friday-Saturday series. The two will play a doubleheader Friday at noon and close the series Saturday with two at 11 a.m. Saturday's doubleheader is Military Appreciation Day with all veterans and current service members receiving free admission.

WHO'S HOT
Mines' three best bats over the last two weeks have belonged to Megan Dickson, Katie Leiker, and Kara Jones. Dickson has been on fire, slashing .500/.556/1.042 with four home runs and a double among 12 hits as she has compiled a team-best seven RBI and three walks over the last two series. Leiker is hitting .435 and slugging .696 over the last eight games, including three extra-base hits, while Jones has three doubles to slug .667 in that span.

HITTIN' DINGERS
With nine home runs this year – including two in game three of the Colorado Mesa series last weekend – Clara Larson now has 19 for her career, which puts the sophomore eighth on the Mines all-time list. Her 10 last year ranks sixth-most in program history and with more than a month to go in the season, Larson has a chance to threaten the Mines single-season record of 15 co-held by Kamee Vessey (2012) and Gina Ross (2008).

KEEPING IT 100
Three Orediggers are coming up on century-mark milestones. Head Coach Leah Glasgow enters the weekend with 98 career wins, which puts her two away from being the fourth coach in program history to hit 100. Meanwhile, Kara Jones – a junior – has 99 career hits and Clara Larson – only halfway through her sophomore season – sits at 95 as they try to join Sonoma Toot, Pua Fujinaga, and Katie Leiker as active Orediggers in the 100-hit club.

LAST YEAR VS. ADAMS STATE
Mines and ASU split their series last year with the Orediggers winning a pair of lopsided 9-2 games and the Grizzlies taking two close ones, 7-5 and 3-2. Clara Larson led Mines in that series with six RBI including a home run, with Sonoma Toot also going long. Dani Valerio and Kara Jones each hit 4-for-9 against ASU. In the circle, Hallie Smith was 2-0 with a 2.00 ERA while Maddie Rogers held opponents to .195 and struck out 10 but was unlucky in two losses.

SCOUTING ADAMS STATE
The Grizzlies come in 11-19 overall and 8-8 in RMAC play after splitting their series with Fort Lewis last weekend. They are led by one of the RMAC's top sluggers in Tyler Hays, who has hit 11 home runs with 22 extra-base hits to slug .933 this season. Kacee Schroeder (5.25, 4-5) and Whitney Fields (8.30, 6-9) have seen the bulk of the work in the circle.

LOOKING AHEAD
Mines stays home to host CSU-Pueblo on April 7-8.
