SPEARFISH, S.D. - #23 Colorado School of Mines remained unbeaten in RMAC play, beating Black Hills State in straight sets on Friday night.
The Orediggers (11-3, 5-0 RMAC) had to work overtime in two sets, winning 27-25, 26-24, 25-20 over the Yellow Jackets (6-8, 3-2 RMAC).
Both defenses came to play as Mines hit .177 and BHSU .136 for the match.
LaRose Currie (16) and
Hailey Babcock (13) each had double-digit digs for Mines. The offensive end was led by 12-kill efforts by
Lindsey Jin and
Abby Tiesman, while
Janice Jin added 10 kills. Tiesman also added six digs and six blocks, with
Janice Jin tacking on seven digs and four blocks.
Marina Hansen returned to the line-up to produce 44 assists and eight digs.Â
BHSU was led by Sierra Stugelmeyer's 10 kills, with Reilley Baty and Sydney Ederhoff having 13 digs each.
Mines stays in the Black Hills region to take on South Dakota Mines Saturday at 3 p.m.
